  What's the quickest way to find a hotel review?
  

  You can use the "Quick search" in the top frame to search directly for hotels and cities. Should your hotel have a regular name, such as Playa Beach, it would be best for you to use the advanced search. Here you can combine various criteria to optimize your search.

  
  How do I find hotels in a country, region or city that best suit my needs?
  

  Using the advanced search you are offered various search criteria, such as recommendations, minimum rating averages, or type of travel to help you find the hotel which best suits your needs. By making use of the Hotel Charts on each page, you will constantly discover new well-rated hotels.

  Submit hotel review

  Which hotels can be reviewed?
  

  You can review any kind of hotel. It is important, however, that you select the right hotel, or name it correctly at the beginning of your review. By selecting either "brief" or "detailed" reviews, you can choose if you would simply rather rate the pre-selected categories or, if preferable, make a more descriptive statement about your stay at the hotel in question.

  
  What should I pay special attention to while writing about my holiday hotel and city?
  

  Due to the great number of hotels with the same name, it is important for you to be very precise concerning the spelling of the hotel's name (e.g. RIU Kontiki Playa Beach). This saves us a lot of work searching through catalogues and the internet! Please also make complete statements concerning the country and city you travelled to (e.g "Spain", "Mallorca/Playa del Palma").

  
  How do I write a hotel review that is useful to others?
  

  Describe and rate as precisely as possible. Think exactly about what might interest others. If you only write "...the hotel was nice...", other users' interest in the review is likely to be very low. A review only becomes of use to others when it contains an exact statement as to why you did (not) like the hotel.

  
  I'm not quite sure exactly what I should write about in my hotel review.
  

  Read other guests' hotel reviews first. This helps you get an impression which criteria other travellers have considered.

  
  When writing a detailed review, do I have to write text for every single category?
  

  Yes. We believe that only considered statements are valuable for other travellers.

  
  May I post foreign content as my review?
  

  No, this is not permitted. In any case of proveable copyright infringement, HolidayCheck is required by law to pass on the culprit's personal information to the injured party.

  
  Is advertising permitted in the title of a hotel review?
  

  No. Advertising (be it for yourself or others) is not permitted. Only links, e-mail addresses or phone numbers relating to neutral, non-commercial sources, may be listed.

  
  Can I change the contents of a hotel review after submitting it?
  

  No. After uploading this is no longer possible. What you can do instead, however, is send an e-mail to content@holidaycheck.com, stating what you wish to see changed.

  Read hotel review

  I submitted a hotel review a couple of days a go. Why can I still not find it onlìne?
  

  Your hotel review was not lost! To avoid manipulation and misuse, every hotel review is evaluated manually and posted online. Hotels that are being reviewed for the first time sometimes first need to be entered into our data bank. This process requires time and effort.

  
  How long will it take until I can read my submitted hotel review?
  

  This normally happens quite quickly. Within 3-4 days at most. Sometimes we are ourselves on vacation, though, which can lengthen the process a little.
