Ahoy dear HolidayCheck user!

Ready to test your sea legs? This issue is all about cruising this world's waters.

We've broadened our horizon on HolidayCheck and added cruise ship reviews to help you plan and digest your adventures on open waters.

Of course we also found a great Top! among the cruisers, as well as a definitely sinking star on the river, our Flop! on the Nile.

Set to go? We'll quickly explain you, where the term "ahoy" came from, before you start using it.

Come aboard!

Tomas, you won the spring raffle...

Among all the participants that collected flowers on our website to decorate the spring vase in April, we had a hard time choosing the raffle's winner.

Here he comes: Congratulations Tomas from Czech Republic! You've won a fantastic HolidayCheck beach set!

The beach bag, towel, and polo-shirt will be great accessories for his next holiday by the sea.

Shape up or ship out!

The Grand Admiral is definitely in best shape. Our traveller reviews are all very positive, raving about the spacious cabins, the other equipment, and the super friendly staff.

Our flop: definitely among the sinking ships right now is the Seti-Kira. The traveller's reviews speak of a thick black smelly cloud of smoke accompanying the boat and its' passengers. And whoever wants to flee to his cabin, they are not in a good condition either.

Careful!

Ahoy!

If you plan to attract someone's attention when travelling on open waters, try "ahoy". This exclamation is known on ships all around the world. Originally it came from the Czech sailors, that shouted ahoy to get in contact with other Czech mates by the ports. Today you'd probably rather say "how's it going?" though.
