Hotel
2.0
Degenerated 5 star hotel with a mediocre cleanliness, we had to share our room with hundreds of others (ants and a gecko), who, after four requests, were then regularly sprayed with an awful spelling insecticide. All this is normal in such heat?! Only superficially clean, loud cleaning, no luxury service for a 5 star. There is marble everywhere that is in need of polishing, guests in muscle shirts from every social class, unfortunately no real 5 star environment, the meals are unmentionable: culinary, taste, variety---not a trace! Few waiting personnel, all of whom are overwhelmed. On the first day, one gets a table that is already occupied by other guests, and while one gets up for the second round of food, the entire table is cleared....no planning whatsoever! The coffee at breakfast is served in non-insulated metal pitcher, which is just as unsightly as the unpolished sugar and other canisters that are covered with dirty finger prints!
Almost all of the plates are dirty, in answer: faulty machine! The showcooking was a joke. Something like this does not even deserve 3 stars, even fish was not served often. Was in Son Moll in a 3 star hotel last year with a group, that was okay! ....but in comparison to Serrano, it was better. Not for anyone who is familiar with a German 5 star hotel and only expects half of that. Everything was minimalized, in a cheap way, only the necessities...
Location
6.0It is okay! Close to the beach and to the city. The bay is in fact full, but the heck with it!
Service
3.5They try to be friendly, but the powerlessness is written in their faces... because of so many complaints. They speak German, but they avoided talking about problems and one was left standing like a fool.
Gastronomy
1.0...everything is bad.... not for a 5 star!!
Sport & Entertainment
2.5The sauna stinks, but anyways who goes to the sauna in the middle of the summer. Everything else is offered, but it is not in the best kept condition, it just holds for a 3 star.
Room
2.0
Old and only superficially cleaned, there were still hairs from the former guests in the bad. Even though the room smelt like nicotine the first day (maybe there were two smokers hosted in before), it was still given to us! Is that appropriate for a 5 star hotel? No welcome sign, simply mediocre. The towels fuzzed, but at least they were changed regularly.
Tips and recommendations
We paid 710 euros for a week and we expected a 5 star, but that was expecting too much!
It is not appropriate for the price, and if the hotel had only three stars, one would not come with such high expectations and would probably be satisfied.
The last 3 years I had 3 star hotel for 570 euros: I booked Son Moll, also in the holidays and with half board, and it was much better.
Hotel review marks: 6 suns = very good … 1 sun = unsatisfactory
