Nice windsurfing/kitesurfing time in Zaafarana

Hotel Royal Zaafarana Beach Resort in Ain El Sukhna (Ain Soukhna), All other regions
The hotel is on the beach west coast of the red sea, under the Suez canal , in a strip of many future hotels.
Huge hotel. Built to be a luxury hotel. 150 rooms.
The hotel looks old and abandoned but it is in good condition. The rooms were clean. (no roaches!!! - very good for Egypt)
It is an excellent price considering that is half board. The food is good and you will never get sick(most important in Egypt). They make excellent fresh food in the beach taverna at very cheap prices.

Hotel Zafarana don't go there

Hotel Royal Zaafarana Beach Resort in Ain El Sukhna (Ain Soukhna), All other regions
The hotel was built a number of years ago and has only been open for the past 3 years at the request of the owner of the kitesurf centre. The rooms, on arrival were clean but as the holiday went on it was apparent that the sheets weren't being changed, towels weren't being replaced, toilet roll was not being refilled etc. Air conditioning was non existent in the dining room or bedrooms for the first week, ac in the rooms blew ambient air in the rooms but never cooled the room. The pools if yo... Read more

The hotel is abandoned, no AC, no water in the pool, very bad food, etc. Not an hotel anymore! Go there only if you are a Kite surfer and take your own food with you. The spot and the beach is amazing. Read more

It is a disaster. We are a bunch of friends (around 27 years old) living in Cairo and going to this place very often for the week end. We don't always sleep there since the hotel is extremely bad. It's totally abandonned and only remains open because of the kitesurfing center. Last week end, we had an unbelievable experience. The rooms are in terrible conditions. Most of the time the AC doesn't work. When it's in March it's alright, when it's in August it's not OK. We then refused to pay 600 ... Read more

Think again before you book in this hotel please

Grand Hotel Stella di Mare in Ain El Sukhna (Ain Soukhna), All other regions
I would sure think twice before I book in this hotel. The hotel is for sure not 5 stars at all. Everything is either very poor or poor. In normal hotels things that are free of charge this hotel will charge you. The rooms & hotel need major renovation in all major parts rooms and the hotel in general. I made a complain and no one bother to call and check with me. The room rate is very expensive and you can get much better hotel in the same area with less money. Read more
