The hotel area is very nice and well maintained. It is right in the middle of a jungle, in the area there were many free-range animals (raccoons, iguanas, coatis and so on) really great! The food is diverse and very good. 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen. Very many possibilities for excursions in the immediate vicinity. Was a brilliant vacation. Highly recommended! Read more

Hotel Akumal Beach Resort in Akumal / Riviera Maya, Yucatan Peninsula / Mayan Riviera
Small, simple hotel on a dream beach from Mexico! Turtles are guaranteed. Choice of dishes wasn't't as large as in the luxury hotels, but adequate and very tasty. From the rooms you had a very nice view of the ocean and the beach. Simple but from the flat screen tv to save everything was available. Mattress a bit hard. Friendly and always keen Staff. Very nice, large hotel area, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Playa del Carmen. The complex consists of five Hotelklompexen. You can order in all restaurants (except for VIP area) food and beverages in all bars. Great service, quality of the food and drinks were extremely. Part of the beach very long, in some places a little crowded. Read more

Hotel Gran Bahia Principe Akumal in Akumal / Riviera Maya, Yucatan Peninsula / Mayan Riviera
All in all, it was a very beautiful area. The hotel was fully booked, but we never had the impression that it was full, we always got a beach chair. American and Canadian guests very many. The average age was around 50. The excursions were offered no bargain, but they are mostly. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat vacation make! Read more

We had expected more for five star the drinks from the Zapf mixer arrived rather after chlorkohlensäre, was not so great except the machine on the beach was good, the rooms was okay except for the old tv and three weeks the same place a chewing gum klben had, the tv was in the 90 years therefor we had a suite we were very disappointed. The furniture was rather standard no suite. The à la carte restaurants were great the buffet rather standard. The price in the shops were so overpriced example... Read more
