The majority of Turks are from birth introduced to the Muslim religion and know the five basic principles of Islam, although it is not always strictly enforced. The main point of Islam, as in other Arab countries is the belief in Allah (one God) and his prophet Muhammad. They pray 5 times a day and at least once in their life they participate in almsgiving and fasting during Ramadaan. However, Turkish Islam is more liberal. Ramadan is a quiet period in Turkey, a day of silence; however at night they have a celebration.

Getting Around

Airports / Car rental
The nearest airport is in Antalya.Renting cars is very popular but not necessarily safe for tourists. For tourists the safest the safest transportation is a taxi. It often happens that Turkish drivers do not obey the speed limits or traffic lights. Therefore there is often chaos on the road.

Public transport
The most popular public transport are the Dolmus buses. The Dolmus buses are very cheap, and prices are fixed, but you can always try to negotiate. It is best to pay a fee when you leave.

Taxis / Infrastructure
Taxis are also available. Every taxi has a taxi meter; however you can also set a fixed price beforehand with the driver.
