Armacao de Pera was originally a small fishing village, whose name resulted from the fishing tackle (armacao) which was used to catch tuna.
Today, Armacao de Pera is mainly a holiday destination, attracting a lot of vacationers with its beautiful beaches on the Algarve coast. The village, which counts about 7400 inhabitants, has the facilities to accommodate up to 65000 guests.
Armacao de Pera is especially great for families with small children, as the beaches are mostly lightly sloping and the water is warm and tranquil. Visitors can choose between the small bays in the west end or the sandy beach in the east, which stretches for about 7 kilometers up to Praia da Gale.

Hotel reviews for hotels in Armacao de Pera
The hotel itself was clean and in good condition. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, among other things with a kitchenette with fridge and freezer and a microwave. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed was very big, but very, very uncomfortable!
adequately equipped and clean.
The hotel staff was very friendly. Most of the employees spoke German very well, with English, one could easier to communicate with.

The location of the hotel is really fantastic above the cliffs. The way to the beach is steep stairs, that's why it after five minute bottom. During our stay the hotel was about 40 % occupied. This was very nice because you always a space on the pleasant breakfast terrace. The selection of evening meals was compared to other 4 -star hotels modest, but the quality of the food was good. We once had the possibility and at the Pestana Viking dinner. Quality and choice of food were identical. This... Read more

The hotel has a beautiful park with palms and many blooming flowers. The private beach is located directly on a protected bay only a few steps down. Ideal for families with children, who are very welcome. Outside the hotel facilities, on the beach of Amacao de Pera, is yet another private beach, directly on the sea. There are buses that drive every hour to and from that beach. There is also a very good hotel restaurant, and there are toilets and showers.
With half board, you can eat there. Read more

Hotel Vila Vita Parc in Armacao de Pera, Algarve
After my great experience in 2009, I again arrived in the post season and spent a relaxing week. In summary, the hotel remains a beautiful paradise, my recommendation for the Algarve.
Large, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms with a balcony in the main house. Everything was very clean and well-kept. Free safe, air-conditioning. Large bathroom.
The "very good" I can not award this year. Not enough staff at breakfast in the off season, as well as less skilled employees in the ... Read more
