The big disappointment on our own planned Mexico-tour. From afar, we expected a great hotel, the location of the lagoon was wonderful. But that was it. Lustloses staff, cleanliness of the room, hot water didn't work, and so far half of the window is only screens without window glass. As all of the rooms a window to the hotel bar are we were half the night always gets fully in the life of the bar involved. If I go this way again, I plan on staying at a hotel in the next city. During our privately organized tour with ten people we have the last night in this hotel, the driver our Mexican has been recommended. The location on the lagoon is really unique and 30 years ago it was definitely a very nice hotel. From the outside inviting, the rooms and bungalows in a miserable condition, bugs in the beds, the bathroom had only one towel, a tiny sink and the breakfast was more than simple. Hotel with a beautiful view of the colorful lagoons Bacalar. Rooms are simple but clean and nicely decorated. Water for drinking and brushing your teeth in the room. Beautiful pool with a swim in the lagoon, the more fun. The food could be a bit better and cheaper but otherwise the stay worth it. A little out of the way so there were no restaurants and shopping.
