I had booked online though www.myswitzerland.com two nights in Gasthaus Waldeim in order to attend the Christmas market in Bremgarten. However, inspite of my special instructions that my mother could not walk up and down stairs, they gave us a room on the second floor with no elevator. We then began to search for a hotel in that area and ended up finally at the Best Western Du Parc in Baden. It was perfect - wheel chair accessible, triple room and very friendly staff. This is a really lovely boutique hotel. The welcome was wonderfully friendly and the staff were all very helpful. They went out of their way to give us a room even though we arrived too early for normal check in. The rooms were large, a nice mix of modern/old and chic. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature perfect. The bathrooms were great although our room had no bath and the glass door might not be to everyone's taste (from a privacy perspective). For the evening two friends and I booked one of the 4 private spa suites – it was heavenly.
The spa suite really is an oasis of well-being. I was amazed by all the different drinks we found in the spa minibar and the possibility that you could order “everything” on the menu of the nearby restaurant Hirsch during our spa stay.
