Bavaro is located in the Province La Altagracia in the East of the Dominican Republic. The area is very touristic and many hotels are located there.Climate and When to go
The weather in Bavaro remains fairly stable throughout the year. It’s tropical climate means it is warm year round. However this also means you can expect short heavy rain showers. Evening temperatures are also high, meaning long evenings can be enjoyed outside.
Currency
The currency here is the Dominican Peso. Cash machines and ATMS are available in the resort town, so getting hold of cash is not a problem.
Visa Requirements
When arriving in the Dominican Republic tourists must purchase a tourist visa for 10 US dollars. This can be done on arrival or alternatively in advance over the internet.
Language
English is widely spoken in Punta Cana although the first language of locals is mainly Spanish.

All in all, the hotel was great and met all our expectations. The a la carte restaurants were all great and the selection of drinks and food was great. Cleanliness was very important. In the bathroom mold on the ceiling, the dripping water so, towels on the floor that you need. Pictures hung crookedly in the wall, old furniture. For me no furniture five star hotel! (junior suites) Russians get the towel special edition by the pool (probably bribery) conclusion beach was in the first week of Christmas very nice! Hotel Grand Palladium Palace Resort, Spa & Casino in Bavaro, Dominican Republic east coast
Nice, especially for couples suitable hotel for palladium resort (there are not so many rooms as the palladium Punta Cana and palladium bavaro) with wonderful beach including a few hammocks. We enjoyed very good overall. Also the staff were (almost) always very friendly and personable. Unfortunate is only, the evening at the beach wasn't't a lot going on. Read more
