99% of the Turkish population professes Islam. Most of them are of the religion sannickiego. The Turks reside mostly in the religious Shiite areas in the south-east of Turkey. Modern Turkey is an irreligious republic, however the majority of Turks are Muslims and follow the five basic principles of Islam but is not always strictly enforced. The main characteristic of Islam, as in Arab countries is the belief that God there is one god and Muhammad is his prophet. They pray five times a day and participate in fasting during Ramadan. However, Turkish Islam is more liberal. During Ramadan, the restaurants will however not be closed. Ramadan is a quiet period in Turkey, a day full of silence, but after nightfall a celebration occurs.

Airports / Car rentalMilas-Bodrum Airport is about 30km away of Bodrum. There is a shuttle bus which can take you from the airport to Bodrum city center and other destinations.
It is very popular to rent a car, however it is not the safest transportation method for tourists as the Turkish drivers do not drive very safely as it often happens that Turkish drivers do not obey the speed limits or traffic lights.
Public transport
The most popular public transport are the Dolmus buses. Dolmus buses are a cheap method of transportation, prices are fixed, but you can always try to negotiate. It is best to pay in the bus when you leave. If you are interested in other areas of the city you can travel by taking this bus.
Taxis / Infrastructure
Taxis are also available, and each taxi has a meter, however it is possible to negotiate a fixed price when getting into a taxi.

Culinary Specialities
The Turkish cuisine has a variety of delicious dishes. The Turkish cuisine is combined with the Greek, Bulgarian and Turkish style. Known to us as a kebab, consists of sliced meat, bread with tomato sauce and vegetables. If you choose a kebab you can order rice or fries instead of having it with the bread. Turkey is also very popular for its Gözleme. These are pancakes with minced meat and spices. If you prefer a lighter soup corba is highly recommended. For dessert the most popular dish is baklava (layers of pastry layered with honey, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, soaked with icing).
Lifestyle / Sights
Bodrum is not a big city and is located on the hillside at a bay. During the holidays, it is lively and full of tourists. Bodrum is known for its discotheques, such as Halikarnas in which there are many international hits played. You can also see the medieval castle of Bodrum and the ruins of the Mausoleum. In the old town the houses are painted white which resembles the Greek houses.Bodrum has two bays, which are full of beautiful yachts and ships. The castle is a sort of symbol for the city which can also be seen on every postcard. It's worth visiting the castle of the Knights of the chapel. The castle has five towers, whose founders had different nationalities belonging to the order of Hospitallers (Knights of St. John the Baptist). In the castle you can see every day used objects and tools and instruments of torture. After visiting the castle, you can see the Mausoleum. Unfortunately the building was badly damaged and there are only a few foundations. An interesting monument in Bodrum is also the amphitheater which lies on the outskirts of the town. It is built into the mountainside and offers about 12,000 seats. The theater has a beautiful view over the bay. There are ferries that can take you from Bodrum to Kos. A ticket for this tour can be purchased at any local travel agencies or at the port. The beaches in Bodrum are beautiful with very soft sand.

in the hotel we just homely. In spite of the size we were individually treated. The rooms were clean and magnificent view on the bayou of Bodrum. The complex all in all is very nice decor: from the terrace before the lobbyBar, on the poolArea with its own bar and then further down the very well maintained garden with palms and great flowering stay up to the small, but fine hotel's own beach with beach chairs, umbrellas and a further bar. We had the half board booked and were with the offer mo... Read more

the hotel at first glance seems with its large lofty entrance hall very inviting and hospitable, but the appearance deceives a little. Already with the receipt all the before us checked in as well as a list with the great ' Inklusiveleistungen ' before the nose held and the default text runtergerasselt. A smile came here nobody on the lips! Since we late in the evening arrived we had only about 1 hour to eat, but also here the same time a cushion. About 40 minutes before the end of the specif... One speaks in this hotel(more guest house-max. 2 stars) a word of German, not even 'good day and goodbye!' the people at the front desk are so unfriendly, such a thing so far in no other hotel experienced. You are a German not at all respected, discriminated against nearly.
The rooms are adequate and clean, the cleaning ladies are reliable and praising value to emphasize. To watch television one can only in Turkish, English, French, and Dutch. No German Transmitter at the start!

The not too large hotel complex ( approximately 120 rooms) is in terraces. That is to say wheelchair users/ disabled not really suitable, since not all areas of the lift to reach are. The hotel is a Erwachsenenanlage (no children under 12). The hotel offers ultra all inclusive at. This was my first all inclusive- experience, and a positive. Clearly, one carries the famous wristband, but there was neither plastic cup, still had one its drinks afterwards race. Also the alcoholic beverages were ... Read more
