Great Wine’s Selected For Boppard Hotel

It must be a great gift to be able to tell a good wine, from a bad wine, during our holiday in Boppard, Germany, we stayed at the Pension Gastehaus, Bei Schinderhannes und Julchen Hotel, on the banks of the Rhine River, this is a family run three star hotel, who caters for people who require an Apartments or Bed and Breakfast. We meet Klaus Krober, who runs the Schinderhannes Hotel, with his wife and daughter, he is a connoisseur when it comes to wine tasting he selects all the wines that he feels would be suitable for guest. The hotel caters for private parties, weddings receptions and business conferences; you will often see wine tasting parties, on the premises…

Boppard is renowned for its Vinyards and of course the famous Wine Festival, held in the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October, during the Festival, the wine growers show off their products at their wine stall which are housed in the Market square.
Wine growing in the Mid Rhine area started in or about 643 AD.
