Calvi

General Information
Calvi is located on the North West coast of the Island of Corsica. Corsica is located south east of mainland France and to the west of Italy. It makes up one of the French regions. It is the 5th largest town on the Island. The town is a citadel which means that it is protected by a fortress.

Climate
The hottest period in Calvi is from June to early September where average temperatures are around 26 degrees. Winters are slightly cooler with temperature around 10 degrees and dropping significantly at night.

Currency
Like France the Euro is used in Corsica.

Language
Corsica is one of the regions of France that has managed to keep its own language. When you hear locals speak the language is more like Italian than it is French. However the language is slowly dying out and French is more common place.
