On the border / visa

Dalyan a  Turkish fishing village with a population of just 4,000 inhabitants. It is located about 70 km. from Fethyie and 90 km from Marmaris. This is a small, but charming tourist destination. At every step, meets the monuments of antiquity such as Roman baths, and temples.

Dalyan has won international fame in 1986 when developers wanted to build a luxury hotel, which would constitute a threat to the nearby sea turtle breeding grounds. The incident sparked an international storm. Ultimately, the project was halted construction of the hotel and the beach became a protected area.
Life in Dalyan revolves around Çayı River, which flows next to the city. Boats floating up and down the river provide a quick and easy access to all the nearby places.

Located a small stroll from the centre of Dalyan, 19 rooms, basic but very clean with Bed and traditional Turkish breakfast offered. Very diverse range of nationality's. The owner is Turkish and his wife Belgium, but both speak many languages. Basic, but clean, the rooms are all large enough for three people. They al have a balcony and air conditioning. There is a small internet cafe in reception with Wifi Second to none, Bulent and Temilda can not do enough for you, they both speak severa... Read more

Nice and very calm area full of palm trees - if you wan't really to rest its wonderful place. Nothing that can make a noise nearby, The beach is ca 40 min by boat but its a quite pleasant views during the trip - you will enjoy it. The food was a little bit spicy but thats how it is in Turkey. The mountains are very close to the hotel so if someone like such a views you will like it. 10 min by walk to the city center which is not very big and crowdy. Very nice holidays ! Read more

Keysan Yunus Hotel in Dalyan, Turkish Aegean

Suns
We arrived at the entrance of the Yunus at 10.30pm, in complete darkness with nobody to greet us. Thanks to the taxi driver, it only took 9 minutes to find someone to take us along paths, past some overgrown, to our unlit room entrance, the door half blocked by a mosquito infested bush, which we had to prune back ourselves later. There was no hairdryer as promised, but we did get a ripped pillow case, sheet and bath towel, along with a soiled toilet brush. Also the air conditioning gave off ... Read more
