We travelled as a large group (study trip) and only stayed one night. So the review only reflects one night plus breakfast.
Already upon arrival the poor condition of the hotel was noticable: In front of the house weeds grew rampant and rubbish was lying around. In the rear garden it was no different.
The room was a disaster.
The equipment would have been ok, if it had been maintained.

The welcome-hotel Darmstadt is a ideal hotel for a city break. In maximal five minutes footpath one is in the city center with varied Stroll and options for shopping.
Should one of the sense after a few peace is possible... Also the not a problem, right next to the hotel starts a wonderful park.
US has the hotel again very clean presented again with excellent breakfast and very friendly service in all areas.

the hotel lies in the center.
the rooms have a good standard us very clean.
the breakfast is varied and very nice, salmon, sausage, ham, egg, cheese, lots of fresh fruit and different muesli. Tea, coffee or water the whole day free of charge available. We are satisfied all around and gladly come again. The only downside, it is mentioned in the information sheet: the hotel does not have its own garage, store in the garage costs €8 per day.

practical rooms equipped with the necessary Equipment. The single room are really small and cramped. Rooms have a sufficient measured Wardrobe, multimedia area (TV, radio and Videoangebot), as well as wired internet connection. Apart from that is many places in the house a paid Telekom hotspot available.
the cleanliness of the rooms is not too complain about. The staff are for the most part friendly and helpful.

the hotel is a splendid Waschbetonplattenbau in the style of the early seventies. In the last 40 years the lobby and the area of the restaurant probably times renovated. The charm the good old days however, you can still recognize. There are 12 or 13 floors, a bar with smoking and non-smokers area, and a restaurant. Breakfast in a extra breakfast room. In the basement there is a swimming pool.
