El Calafate

Che Lagarto is a chain of guesthouses in various towns in Argentina. I stayed in one of them, in El Calafate. The guesthouse is rather large and attracts many independent travelers. Even our occasional companions in a taxi from airport happened to go in one guesthouse with me. Superior room with a view to the lake it’s just great. 10 minutes walking distance to the very busy tourist locations (restaurants/bars/smaller and large supermarkets). Silent. Cheaper rooms to the garden not recommended at all, you feel like in prison. Large rooms, very good breakfast, service ladies where not very attentive to missing food, kitchen was slow in replacement.
