Gibraltar (GB)

Gibraltar is a British overseas territory and is located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. Since the British Nationality Act in 1981, the population of Gibralta has been granted full British citizenship.


Climate
Gibraltar has Subtropical-Mediterranen climate. Thus, winters are mild and summers are warm. The most rainfall occurs during the winter months, the summer months are usually dry. Annual average temperature is 18°C with temperatures between 9-18°C in January and 20-31°C in August. The average sea temperature during summer is 22°C.

The official currency in Gibraltar is the British Pound.

Language
In Gibraltar, the official language is English which is used in schools and by the government. Yet, the majority of its population also speaks Spanish.

The residents of Gibraltar have diverse origins. Among them you mostly find Britons, Spanish people and Italians.

Religion
The main religion on Gibraltar is Christianity with 78% of the population belonging to the Roman Catholic Church. About 4% of the Gibraltarians are Islamic.
