The climate on the Glacier National Park is rather mild. Snowfall occurs during most part of the year and during the winter there is perfect snowfall for skiing. During the summer temperature may reach 30°C and during the winter the temperature ranges between -10°C and 10°C. Sunshine is common throughout the whole year.

Customs / Culture
Glacier National Park includes parts of two mountain ranges, 130 different likes and a lot of interesting nature scenery. The region was first inhabited by Native Americans before European explorers discovered it. Shortly after 1910 the Great Northern Railway constructed various hotels and numbers in the area which are nowadays known as historic hotels and chalets. The Glacier National Park mountains began forming over 170 million years ago making this area extremely popular due to its historic development. This area has also encountered and recovered from many enormous fires and these areas can be spotted when visiting the Glacier National Park.

Religion
The majority of the inhabitants in Glacier National Park are Catholic.

Getting Around

Airports / Car rental
Getting into Glacier National Park the closet airports include “The Glacier/ Kalispell Airport” which has mainly domestic airlines and “Missoula International airport” which has international and domestic airlines flying in and out on a daily basis. At both airports it is possible to rent a car which should be booked in advance.

Public transport
There is a free shuttle bus service within glacier national park which rotates on and around the mountain.

Taxis can be found at taxi stands or by calling the central taxi service.
