Killarney is famous for its jaunting cars which are horse drawn carts in which tourists can take tours. The Killarney Summer Fest is part of its culture as it is a highlight of the year during which there are outdoor and indoor concerts where International and Irish artists perform. Sport in Killarney is tradition, the locals are very into sport and you will often find many local Irish at a pub watching sport games.

To get to Killarney you can travel via “Kerry Airport” located in Farranfore which lies in between Tralee and Killarney. This airport has daily international domestic flights coming in and out. Another possibility is to travel to “Cork Airport” which is also easily accessible to and from Killarney via car, bus and train. It is possible to rent a car at each of these airports. Killarney is served by the “National Primary and Secondary routes” which makes travelling in a car very simple and convenient.

Public transport
