I travel often into the Austria & Bavaria regions. I first visited this hotel in Aug 2009 and had a fantastic stay. It was my first choice when I intended to return to the area. The rooms are very large, clean with quality furnishings. It is only a very short walk into the village. Almost no traffic and views to die for. Very well located for skiing, Paragliding (Action Hill), mountain walking/biking. There is also a Golf Course 10 close by but I have not played there. It is a family run hote... Read more

Well, everything seemed to be all right with this hotel. We were to stay there for 11 nights. During the 6th day of our holidays I had a ski accident (due mainly to poor conditions on the slope) and needed to have an immediate operation in my hometown in Poland (knee operation). This was a diagnosis of a hospital we visited in Austria. We talked to the owner of Rottenspacher hotel and told him that we would have to leave in two days. One reason for choosing this hotel was for the wellness area. We were therefore very disappointed to be told, on arrival, that the pool and whirlpool were cold due to a recent (and thereafter daily changing) technical problem and that it would be fine the next day. There was no apology for this situation, rather, we were made to feel as though we were being unreasonable to want to use these facilities during a non-busy time (including asking for the sauna to be heated up).
