Country and People
Customs / Culture
Local mining resulted in Las Vegas developing as a railroad town in the early days of the 20th century. The construction of the Hoover Dam in the 1930s provided the catalyst for encouraging the growth of a residential population together with the legalisation of gambling. The first casinos were owned by organised crime bosses and by the 1950s casinos and hotels had popped up everywhere. The 1960s saw Howard Hughes buying hotels and casinos which today offer the heady mix of gambling, high class entertainment and luxury poolside living.

Religion

Hotel reviews for hotels in Las Vegas
We used the mandraki aley Bay on our stopover in Vegas for three days. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious designed. We had a room with a view of the strip (very nice view night). The casino is very large and well equipped. The hotel is home to dozens of bars and restaurants as well as a few clubs and dance areas. The hotel is divided with the neighboring hotel a large shopping center, and a monorail transport between the hotel to new York new York! Super was the pool area, the... Read more

Very cool hotel. If you have been to Las Vegas, you should stay in the legendary pyramid. The pool is very nice and well kept, but there is always a lot going on former. On the ground floor of the hotel (shops and casino area it is a bit dark, but you don't spend the whole day there. Read more

All in all a excellent hotel. It is located on the strip and to the north a great view from the stratosphere tower and higher rooms on the strip. In contrast to other users, we got a room on the 22nd floor when we asked. ( at the weekend!) the pool is located on the casino the eighth floor and it had a beautiful view of the strip. The pool is not for me to the best Las Vegas, since everything was very gray around it is. He is however big enough. The rooms gave it also nothing to complain abou... Read more

Very nice hotel with nice staff. I got a room upgrade. Rooms were very nice. You should definitely book a room with a view of the fountain show on tv you can hear the music then. Was awesome. The food in the buffet restaurant was okay. The mass of food was nothing for me. The noodles of the service was remembered as fabulous. We can do that here better. But otherwise great hotel with large rooms and nice staff. Casino staff told me a craps with a lot of effort. The asino is one of the nicer. ... Read more
