At the airport it is possible to rent a car at one of the various car rental companies; however this should be reserved in advance. From the airport it is also possible to travel to Leysin via train as the train service in Switzerland is extremely well operated.

Other than the “SBB” train service Leysin has its own local bus service which rotates in the town making everything accessible.

EventsAside from all the sporting events occurring during the winter season, a known event occurring in February is “Nescafé Champs Open”. More events can be explored if travelling down to the Lake Geneva region.

The main sight worth seeing in Leysin is of course the view over the Swiss Alps from the top of the mountain peaks. It is highly recommended to go to the restaurant “Kuklos” which is situated right at the top of the mountain providing a unique view. You will get an insight of the Swiss flair simply by strolling along the village in Leysin which is also designated as part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites. In the village you can also visit the local church.
