Live and enjoyLiverpool offers a wide range of entertainment, with events dedicated to music, not only to the Beatles, many nightclubs, including hundreds of Irish pubs, exhibitions, and for football fans, lots of local football teams.
There are too many cultural opportunities to list in Liverpool. So just a few examples: St George's Hall, Liverpool Museum and Planetarium and the Walker Art Gallery. Just outside the boundaries of the city center are located in Sefton Park and Princes Park, two green oasis created in the Victorian era for industrial workers to escape the city. The region around Liverpool also has 120km of stunning coastline to enjoy.
Cuisine
Although the traditional dish of “Scouse” is not often eaten anymore. There are still some places you can try the cheap meat based stew. However the food is now very much multicultural in the city. Liverpool is home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe, so there are lots of Chinese restaurants here!
Shopping
The young and dynamic characteristics of the city are reflected very much so in the shopping facilities. In the Cavern Walks shopping mall there are stores of major designers like Vivienne Westwood, Cricket and Ted Baker. Or Liverpool One, a shopping Centre with 60 shops, bars and restaurants, overlooking the beautiful Chavasse Park. The former industrial docks are now a popular tourist attraction with lots of souvenir shops, art galleries and small museums.
