Ideal location 1 block from train & Funicolare. Very nice staff beautiful ground's Clean & nice size room's. Breakfast was OK but not a large selection. Train station has a nice resturant as well as the hotel but we did not eat supper at hotel. We stayed in the annex. Had read reviews about noise from train? We had the room clostest to the track's and were not bothered my train noise because the window's are very high grade. You can hear the trains when windows are open. Read more

Rooms are old, small and not impressive at all. Could be more inviting. Looked more like a motel room.
Location of the Hotel is not bad, it is well connected by public transport.
Breakfast was decent but flies were flying around.

It was ok in general, the restaurant offering breakfast downstairs was sympathetic and the shower in the corridor was clean and well functioning. The pillows smelled cigarette smoke and the bed was very brief for my partner who is a long person, the cigarrette smell had been tried to get covered by an Ikea vanilla extract, which was the least ok thing.
The room was not as good as the public functions of the hotel.
It was good, only one waitress was a bit rude (in Italian).

We booked a Double room with Lake View however were upgraded to a Suite with Lake view for the same price on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The Hotel should be modernised as it has seen it's best years however still addressable. The Welness area is very small which didn't annoy us as it was quite empty at the time. The Havanna Bar has a fantastic view and is worth a visit. The Room view was also magnificant. The Food in the restaurants was very Good and the Service Staff were friend... Read more

My wife and I stayed for five nights in the hotel and enjoyed every moment there. Warm welcome: happy to receive, the room upgrade at no price increase. The room - type superior - very comfortable, elegant, well-good equipped. A grand old hotel with a beautiful view and fantastic garden.
I recommend the hotel to Railway fanatic. From Annex building balcony optimal area when
somebody would make photos and videos from Swiss trains.
