An absolute gem of a hotel - friendly and fun
Hotel Sol Y Mar Makadi Sun in Makadi Bay, Hurghada/Safaga
We stayed here for a week in January as our second base after a hectic week on a Nile cruise ship. We wanted a chance to relax and unwind before heading home, along with a chance to sample some serious snorkelling in the Red Sea. We were not disappointed on either count!

Verry nice hotel , good food, animaton , only spa center is no good as usualy in Egipt . Verry nice wiew from room I was staying in 70.. bulding with see wiew , I am shure i'll be back there . The coral on the beach - amazing ! Read more

The hotel is wonderful with amazing staff and food that is of a high standard Yet it is dated and could do with a lick of paint, new upholstery and general repairs!
Our room was 15202 (very central room with a cute view) – But dated for a 5* hotel in Egypt! (I have stayed in a 5* in Hurghada before) YET very clean and everything you could possibly want in a room (but around 7years old)! Very beautifully hotel with lots of things to do. Sereval eating (great Indian restaurant) and drinking areas, several swimming pools. Spacious rooms with fine beds and a great bathroom. And an excellent spa, you just have to visit! But the biggest asset of the hotel are the people working, what an amazing and excellent staff.
