Munich (München) is the state capital of Bavaria. The city of Munich has a population of 1'350'000. It is the largest city in Bavaria and the third largest city in Germany followed by Berlin and
Hamburg.Passing through Munich is the Isar, it later flows into the Danube.
Weather
Munich's climate is humid and dry-continental. As Munich is located near the Alps, the weather is unstable. The warm wind from the south of the Alps produces a stream of warm, dry air. Because of its location, the city of Munich has been hit several times by storms. On July 12, 1984 a hailstorm caused damage worth 500 million Euros. As the city is very much in the Alps, it is also the metropolis of Germany where there is more snow in winter. In the south of the city there is more sunshine than the north, where there is also more fog. In the west the climate is drier than the east.
Language
The citizens of Munich have their own dialect. The Bavarian spoken language is difficult to understand for speakers of basic German.

Close to the central railway station and within walking distance of the city center this hotel offers a nice place to sleep at a reasonable price.
The room was small and breakfast crowded (probably bad luck, as there was a bunch of spanish school childeren at the same time).
Nevertheless for the price I had to pay for a hotel so close to the city center it is ok. Read more

Nice, clean hotel with super friendly staff at a great price! Everything was wonderful. The only negative thing I can say is that the hotel is situated on a very noisy city street. With windows closed there is no problem. However, if it is warm and you need them open, you're going to need earplugs. Other than that, all is great. Read more
