Munich (München) is the state capital of Bavaria. The city of Munich has a population of 1'350'000. It is the largest city in Bavaria and the third largest city in Germany followed by Berlin and Hamburg.
Passing through Munich is the Isar, it later flows into the Danube.

Weather
Munich's climate is humid and dry-continental. As Munich is located near the Alps, the weather is unstable. The warm wind from the south of the Alps produces a stream of warm, dry air. Because of its location, the city of Munich has been hit several times by storms. On July 12, 1984 a hailstorm caused damage worth 500 million Euros. As the city is very much in the Alps, it is also the metropolis of Germany where there is more snow in winter. In the south of the city there is more sunshine than the north, where there is also more fog. In the west the climate is drier than the east.

It is best to check the pricing beforehand and also the offers; for example, tickets for several days, as prices are relatively high.
In the historical center is the most beautiful part of the pedestrian zone. You can reach many attractions on foot.
