As New Orleans is located near the Gulf of Mexico the weather is mild with a subtropical climate. The weather during the summer season from June to August is usually hot and fairly humid with temperature ranging from 20°C to 30°C. During the winter season from December through to February the weather is usually at its coolest with temperature ranging from 5°C to 15°C. Spring and autumn are fairly warm with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C.

Airports / Car rentalWhen travelling to New Orleans the nearest airport is the “Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport” which is located in Kenner. There are also many regional airports in New Orleans such as “Lakefront Airport”, “Southern Seaplane” and “Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans”. All of these airports have international and domestic flights coming in and out on a daily basis. Therefore it is very simple to get to New Orleans. It is also possible to rent a car at each of these airports.
Public transport
There is a variety of public transportation facilities available in New Orleans which includes: streetcars, buses, trains and ferries. It is also possible to rotate around the city via bicycle. The Railway is served by the “Amtrak” system which rotates in and out of New Orleans. There are many buses which also rotate in the city and around it in suburban areas. Therefore, due to the variety of public transportation means one can travel with the most appealing transport service.

Taxis are available at taxi stands or simply by calling the central taxi service or even asking the hotel resort to order them.

Events / LifestyleNew Orleans has a variety of different celebrations which also speaks for the lifestyle the locals’ live. One of the most popular events is “Mardi Gras” which is carnival. The city also has many music festivals amongst which the most famous is the “New Orleans Jazz&Heritage festival”. New Orleans “Voodoo Experience”, “Essence Music Festival”, “Southern Decadence”, “Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival” are also very known festivals.
Culinary Specialities
The food in New Orleans is world famous, varying from the native cuisine, to food which has been influenced by the French, Spanish, Italian, African, Cajun and many others. Due to this the food is known to have an extremely unique flavor. Local specialties include “beignets” which are fried pastries, “Muffuletta sandwiches”, Gulf oysters, fried oysters, boiled crawfish and a lot of other seafood. Creole dishes and Pralines are also very typical specialties in New Orleans.

The hotel is located in the north of the French Quarter and rather small. From the outside it is perfectly to the typical Southern-style houses in this area. From the outside it makes the hotel a very well-kept and gehonberen impression. The clientele is is just as mixed in other hotels. Breakfast was not included in the room rate, but it may and must be in the hotel restaurant or in the guestroom will.

The hotel is built in the typical Southwestern-style and balconies facing the street. Some rooms share a large balcony. The doors and windows are from light wood and close accordingly not always closed. The front desk is staffed and also at night is on hand to help you. The hotel is a large Städtehotel on 49 floors. The rooms are in a good new status, whereas the bathroom clean but not to modern condition. It was very clean. The guest structure was international with many business travelers. We had booked just for an overnight stay. The breakfast we stayed twice at the hotel. As the other reviewer already write the hotel lies fairly close (3 blocks ) from the French Quarter. Breakfast (American with bagels and cereal ) was in the price with included. Guests were too many Americans. The hotel seemed from the outside I think quite unimpressive. What stop reinhaut is the it no free parking spaces returns. 28 $for parking p. Day should be included. The hotel has officially 2 star and offers free Wi-Fi. It is one of the first skyscraper new Orleans with 187 rooms and accordingly 'old'. In the morning, there was a free newspaper USA Today.
Our room had carpet, tv, air conditioning, an ironing board and iron, Clock radios, telephone.
Furthermore we had a microwave in the room.
The rooms were very badly soundproofed and the heater/ air conditioning stank somehow...
