Hotel Vecchio Borgo in Palermo, Sicily & Lipari / Aeolian Islands
The hotel lies in a typically Sicilian populated area, nearby the shopping streets via Roma and via Maqueda/via Ruggero Settimo. Several small business in direct proximity. The hotel equipment, cleanliness and the service were very good. There is only breakfast, what for Italian conditions was very good. The public was international in all age groups.

Location stunning location at the sea located with wonderful view. Room with large terrace. Size of the room and the bathroom okay. Lovely area with a large garden and beautiful pool. Guests from all' men' Countries. Many Americans. Was however a Congress during our visit. Inside very nice art nouveau Ambiance. The outside was crumbling however the cleaner a bit. Does the charm however no severance. However lives the hotel from its legendary reputation

Large, clean rooms with mini bar, comfortable couch and minibar unfortunately only pay TV. In the bathroom Glass Sink, shower, toilet, Bidet, towel warmer. Cleaning of the rooms and daily change of towels.
best location, to Palermo explore and shop. We have made a round trip with the hop on hop off bus and 20 euros paid. The you can however save, if you were good on foot on the way.

the hotel lies close to the center from Palermo.
from the train station there are about 15 minutes by bus to the hotel.
the room was in the bathroom (shower area) with mold lapse, door shower was broken, breakfast buffet was good
small, simple furniture, mold in the bathroom, air conditioning available, telephone
staff very friendly and helpful, city maps there is at the front desk free, tips to possibilities for excursions also, staff speaks English, daily room clean ( exchange the towels)
