the sandos playacar is a very large plant, which is narrow and long stretched from a back newer Unterkunftsbereich to the beach with the somewhat older accommodation attracts. We had our room in( newer) Riviera area (directly at the front desk/ Lobby) on the ground floor Therefore, we had within the area the farthermost possible way to the beach and meeting point.

great vacation, but RIU we know differently
Hotel RIU Palace Riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen / Playacar, Yucatan Peninsula / Mayan Riviera
a very nice and maintained hotel with really great Lobby, the check in at the front desk was fast and without problems ( special thanks to Jose Luis the German speaks), the hotel complex is U-shaped laid out, very appealing and clean.
the majority of the guests are from America or Canada, hardly German, generally very little Europeans
the chairs on the beach are really not more great, also the cushions by the pool are not nice, and the couch reserving here is sports, it is in the morning at 7... Read more

lovely area but not without mistake
Hotel Viva Wyndham Maya in Playa Del Carmen / Playacar, Yucatan Peninsula / Mayan Riviera
the hotel with its about 500 rooms is rather large and more convenient. Buildings made from prefabricated slabs with very loud hallways and no little nice. The garden is in contrast very well maintained and also comfortable.
the lobby is very spacious with unfortunately too few opportunities to sit equipped. In the hotel there are three bars, a main restaurant, four à-la-carterestaurants, a small shop, spa and wellness center, currency exchange.

the state of the hotel is OK.
the rooms were reasonable! Once again praise goes to the maid!
A praise goes to the maid! They are all very friendly and everything was always very clean. The rest of the staff one rather had the impression one disturbs if you wanted something.
The restaurant was clean and in my opinion with the hygiene OK.
I had only breakfast booked: there was neither bread nor rolls only toastbrot. For this Taostbrot was a completely normal haushaltsüblicher toaster available.... Read more

Clubhotel RIU Tequila in Playa Del Carmen / Playacar, Yucatan Peninsula / Mayan Riviera
the hotel lies in a wonderful covered with greenery area, in a variety of unterschiedl. Species lives-( especially pleased it us super cute coatis). The hotel has about 600 rooms-lost but by the size quite good. The complex is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are in individual blocks with 2 floors, per floor ever 8 rooms divided. In our day were many guests from Canada and England since, relatively little German since. Little children. All age groups represented.
