Very nice hotel, short walk to the beach
Hotel Mercure Port Douglas Treetops Resort in Port Douglas, Queensland
Very nice hotel. Grounds and pool nicely arranged but unfortunately with courtyard character, the pool is of the individual units. Special highlight is a handzahmer kakadu at the front desk. Dream beach is about a hundred meters away from the hotel.
At check-in you know, the one hundred per night for deposit (we didn't know, us from the tour operator not been told, that is why we only on 200 deposit). But you get the money back upon check-out. Read more

The hotel was part of a "Port Douglas discover Kurzrundreise".
The rooms are very spacious and beautifully appointed. The room cleaning was also very good. In general, the area was very quiet and well maintained.
The check-in was quick and friendly. The staff is very nice as always in Australia. We had a small problem with the end of our tour (was at the tour operator Terra Nova); the ladies at the front desk gave us the fix the problems strongly supported. But thanks again.

The hotel is fully in the forest and consists of a central complex with reception, restaurant, bar and pool as well as several apartments, the than huts on stilts the wide area spread out. In our visit this year we stayed here 8 nights. We were very excited as the reviews for this hotel vary. But: We were so pleasantly surprised: It is a super location.
