Quebec City has a humid continental climate therefore there are four very distinct seasons. The summers are quite warm with temperatures ranging between 25°C and 30°C. Winters can get very cold with heavy snowfall and temperatures ranging between -8°C and 3°C. Spring and autumn have both very unpredictable temperatures, it can be warm one day and quite cold the next, therefore temperatures range between 5 °C and 15°C.

Quebec City is extremely rich in history and culture. One of the cultural famous trademarks is the “Chateau Frontenac”. There are many festivals which also express local traditions.

Airports / Car rentalThe local Airport in Quebec City is “Jean Lesage International Airport” which receives international and domestic flights coming in and out on a daily basis. There are no public transport services from this airport except an RTC bus which only rotates a few times during the day though. It is possible to rent a car at the airport, this should be ordered in advance, or simply to take a taxi from the airport to the Centre of Quebec City.
Public transport
Within Quebec City the public transportation service is under responsibility from the “Réseau de transport de la Capitale”. The RTC operates buses and trams which rotate within the city and further distances. The Rail system is operated by “VIA Rail” and is the network for long-distances.
Taxis / Infrastructure
Taxis can be found at taxi stands, at the airport, on the road or can simply be ordered via the hotel or by calling the central taxi service.

Culinary Specialities
The local cuisine in Quebec City includes a variety of Quebec cheese from farms with the specialty of brie or camembert. Local specialty dishes include “Tourtiére” which is a meat pie made of pork and lard, smoked meat, “Paté chinois” which is known as Chinese pie, “Bouilli” which is a ham and vegetable pot-roast, “Poutine” which is a dish of French fries with gravy, cheese and meet, bagels and “Oka cheese”.

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the old Quebec City. Not far from the hotel a highway straight into the town. didn't have to pay for parking at the hotel are prepayment required at time of booking!! Hotel Gouverneur Sainte - Foy (geschlossen) in Quebec city, Québec
This hotel has four stars, but we asked ourselves during the two days stay, what this. The room was okay, even if a bit worn and getting old. Parking was free around the hotel. The hotel itself looks from the outside not four stars, but not from the inside. The service at the front desk was very, very unfriendly, therefor the room rates were nice large written down, for the prices could we really more friendliness may require. The outer impression was rather negative, while inside the hotel we liked very much.
The hotel is a bit out of the way, on a main road with shopping and restaurants, convenient. The old town is but for 2.60 $per person, in about 20 minutes on a bus reachable. The bus station is in the immediate Hotel.
The staff was always friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a very basic hotel in the tourist class hotel. You need about 20 minutes. With the car to get to downtown Quebec. There is a swimming pool, this is a shadow. The pool is small and very low. The only good thing is the sufficiently large free parking at the hotel. Read more

The Delta Québec had about 380 rooms and was a medium sized hotel. It was located in downtown center Quebec city and indeed in the new town outside the city walls, but not very far from the historic old Vieux-Québec.
