It was the cheapest accommodation with private room we could find in the central part of Queenstown. Location was really good - on the shore of lake Wakatipu , in the centre of town, walking distance to bus terminal. This guesthouse is suitable for backpackers, provides mostly dormitory accommodation. We`ve booked a twin room withbunk bed and shared wc facilities. Room wasn`t large but it was ok for us. Hotel Comfort Inn Melbourne House & Lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
It was dirty, the room was cold and smelled. The furniture was shabby, beds & blankets looked as if they were from the 1970's at least. The sink was cracked, curtains and bathroom shower had mildew. No effort has been made to upgrade the facilities.
The service was unhelpful, breakfast very poor, no assistance, we had to ask at the reception for a second cup of coffee. I was annoyed that I had been debited on my credit card $24.00 after having paid... Read more
