Due to St. Tropez being located on the French Riviera there is a very mild weather with a lot of sunshine throughout the whole year. During the summer the skies are mostly blue and the climate is at its hottest. The peak of the summer is from June to August reaching a temperature of 30 °C. Spring and autumn become somewhat cooler however still reaching a temperature of 20 °C. During the winter season it is colder than all year around however the temperature still rises to about 15 °C.

St. Tropez has become very famous for its parties and beaches however still maintained its history, culture and traditions. From the 15th century onwards St. Tropez was mainly oriented towards the sea focusing on fishing, coastal shopping and trading’s for import and export. In 1944 St. Tropez was one of the first towns in the Provence to be liberated. From that point onwards many famous locals started visiting St. Tropez and even today it gets fully occupied by world famous celebrities who spend the summer time in the luxury villas and hotels.

St. Tropez has kept its provincial flair which can be seen in the town Centre and the architecture of the houses. The marina is a very famous one as it ranges from small fisherman boats to luxury yachts. It is common for the fisherman to sell their daily catch at stands nearby the marina alongside with freshly collected fruits and vegetables.

There are many different airports located near St. Tropez therefore it is very easy to travel there. The closest airport is “La Mole Airport” which is a relatively small airport however there are many international and domestic airlines which travel in an out this airport. There are three other airports located somewhat further away from St. Tropez being: “Toulon Hyères Airport” in Toulon about 52 km away, “Nice Cote d’Azur International Airport” located in Nices about 64 km away and “Marseille Provence Airport” located in Marignane about 150 km away. At each of these airports it is possible to rent a car directly.

On the 5th of June there is the “Fete des Espagnols” where locals celebrate St. Tropez’s successful defense against the attempt of the Spanish invasion in the 16th century. During September there is an event called “Fete des Vendanges” which is a festival when the grape harvest beginning is celebrated. There are many more events in St. Tropez.
