Michels–Landidyll-Wohlfühlhotel in Schalkenmehren, Rhineland-Palatinate
Very nice hotel in a quiet scenic area (suitable for hikers/walking/cycling, relax holiday), in close distance from the Maar (vulcanic lake). Limited public transport facilities, own car would be much preferred. Staff is very kind and helpful, service highly personal. Good and well-presented breakfast buffet, good lunch/dinner menu.
Nice swimming/sauna are, but these will be extended in a newly built wing that will be available by the end of 2010.

Michels Wohlfühlhotel is a highly organized and extremely clean and friendly hotel thanks to the owner/managment of Herr.Drayer. The breakfast buffett is extremely fresh and leaves nothing to want for as is dinner at night. I cannot say enough of how clean the rooms are also. Read more
