Country and People
History
The name 'Sorrento' stems from the mythical Sirens - 'Surrentum'. Sorrento was founded by the Greeks and probably functioned as a Greek colony. In the days of imperial occupation of the town, it was a popular holiday destination for the Roman nobles.
To be considered...
Residents of Sorrento, just like the whole 'poorer South' are very kind and hospitable, and the family seems to be one of the most important values for them. Southern regions of Italy are full of contrasts. On the one hand luxury cars, on the other old, neglected buildings. Therefore, in addition to dozens of Sorrento luxury brand boutiques and luxury hotels, you will find the thirteenth-century monastery and the old and tranquil gardens of orange.
