Old fashioned and in need of a refurbishment. No disabled entrance although this was not a problem for me. Lift from 1st floor only. Rooms very old fashioned but clean and comfortable as always in Switzerland. TV could do with another english language station, not everyone enjoys CNN. BBC World or BBC News would be good. No modern facilities like wi-fi.

The hotel is not located directly in the city centre, but rather a good 15 - 20 minutes walk away, which may not be convenient if travelling with luggage. The surrounding area is not attractive - factories, roads... bear in mind noise if having a room facing the road. In general the hotel is clean and modern. The Einstein is a very nice hotel if you are staying in St Gallen, convenient to all the sights and shops/restauarants, as well as the main train station. "Comfort" rooms are a decent size and indeed comfortable and quiet, although nothing luxurious. The bathrooms are recently renovated and very clean with excellent showers. The hotel is absolutely normal.
The rooms are absolutely normal, the washbasin is in the room
They seem to be nice and polite.
I booked this hotel directly by e-mail.
I asked them an offer for a DOUBLE ROOM.
They answered: "We offer you a very nice DOUBLE ROOM including a breakfast like a 5***** Star Hotel pp CHF 82. 50".
The breakfast is absolutely normal, they have only a choose of ten cup of yogurt, two slices of ham and cheese.
