Golf & Strandhotel Sonne am Klopeiner See in St. Kanzian, Carinthia
We enjoyed the stay at the Hotel Sonne. The dinners were served in various different ways, we liked very much. The location and surroiunding small cities made our stay nice and fun. We cycled around in the surrounding. Read more

The hotel is old, worn out, dirty and some of the staff are in need of training to handle customers politely. Smoking is allowed in this hotel and the hotel smells like an old pub when you walk in. We were directed here as we were told the whole area was booked up - this was actually a lie, we saw room free signs all around the area (and Wörthersee too).

When we arrived we did not like the room that much as we felt that they can do better. After a short while they have provided us with a family suite with lake view in the new building. The room was very nice as we had even our own sauna in the room!
The restaurant is just amazing for the hotel, in my point of view good for a michelin star. The lake club is a children's paradise and one has not to worry at all.
There are rooms in the older part of the hotel where I would not recommend to... Read more
