We had a great time at the Winkler Hotel and would recommend it as a good base from which to undertake walks, cycle rides shopping trips to Merano/Bolzano & Bormio. For petrol heads like me it is a great base from which to cover many of the great road passes in Italy and into the neighbouring countries. The one pass which is a definite MUST is the Stelvio Pass.
