We split our holiday in Bali in two parts. For the first week we booked a villa in Ubud for visiting most of the mayor temples and other tourist attractions. After that we wanted to relax some days at the coast far away from all the hotel chains in Nusa Dua or Kuta. So we decided to stay the last couple of days at the Candikusuma Beach Villas and had a wonderful time.

Chanikusuma Beach Resort is a beautiful, peaceful retreat, away from all the tourist traps. The staff are wonderful, so sincerely friendly and helpful. The in-house restuarant was not fully up and running whilst we were there, but their coffee and breakfast pancakes were to die for. If you are looking for somewhere to hide from the rat race, then this is truly the place to go. It is very simple, clean, comfortable accomodation and there's miles of quiet beach to walk.
