5.0We were from 28.02 to 10.03 2007 for eleventh time in Playa del Inglés/Gran Canaria. For the first time we booked a RIU hotel. We had a suit in the garden side. In fact the installations, specially the bath, are already a little old. But the cleanliness and service (friendliness!!) in this hotel compensated for everything.
Location
6.0We reached the beach and the city within 15 minutes walking distance. There are endless shopping facilities all around. There is also the possibility to go both ways by bus (free). This is certainly very comfortable for old people.

The friendliness and service was super. A small breakdown at first: we arrived at 18:00 together with our daughter, son-in-law and two small children. Unfortunately at that mealtime there was no table for six people at disposal. We had to go back at 19:00. Then we immediately got a table which was assigned to us for the rest of our stay.
The workers at the reception spoke to us the following day and excused themselves. We understood the situation, but we were really satisfied with their concerning.
Gastronomy
6.0In fact here we have to give fewer suns, because the food was so good -quality and assortment - that we have come back with more weight.
Sport & Entertainment
5.5The children's playground consists of a junglegym, a slide and 2 teeter-totters. The tennis court is only for beginners. In the hotel there is a supermarket and boutiques. Pool is super. There are lounge chairs and cushions in abundance.

As said: the furniture and the bathroom disposition are already a bit advanced in years. However the beds are good and firm.
The air conditioning worked optimally. Regular change of sheets and towels. There was a hairdryer, but it only produced a moderate warm wind all around. I basically take mine with me.

The price-performance ratio is good.
