Hotel review for Athens Golden City Hotel

Wir hatten das Hotel über ein Wochenende gebucht. Für eine Kurzreise ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Zwei U-Bahn Stationen sind in der Nähe (Linie 2, Omonia und Metaxourghio). Vom Flughafen ist das Hotel mit der U-Bahn in ca. 40 min zu erreichen. (Die Fahrt von/zum Flughafen kostet mit der U-Bahn ca. 5 Euro / Strecke). Ansonsten kann man sich innerhalb Athens sehr gut mit der U-Bahn fortbewegen. Ein Einzelticket ist bereits für 80 Cent erhältlich. Das Hotel macht insgesamt einen guten und gepflegten Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind für die Zentrumslage angemessen groß. Wir hatten sogar einen kleinen Balkon. Allerdings befindet sich das Hotel direkt an einer größeren Straße, wodurch der Geräuschpegel etwas höher ist. TV, Klimaanlage, Safe sind vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist gut sortiert und ausreichend - für jeden ist etwas dabei. Besonders empfehlenswert in Athen ist ein Ausflug zu einer der vorgelagerten Inseln. Mit der U-Bahn nach Piraeus - von dort aus fahren Fähren.
