Hotel review for Costa Adeje Gran Hotel

Hotel

The hotel has an enormus approach, a giant lobby and big rooms too. It is 10 minutes away from the beach "El Duque" and the rooms with view of the sea have a very big perspective. The guests come mostly from Great Britain, the atmosphere is really pleasant.

Location

The distance to the beach is 10 minutes away by foot. The beach and the boardwalk are very well kept as a result of the 5 star hotel. There are two relatively big supermarkts in the surroundings, where there is a mixture of guests too.

Service

The service, in comparision to December 2004, has clearly improved. For example, besides the daily cleaning of the hotel and change of towels, they provide another set of towels at night. The hotel bill can be checked with the help of the TV. We did not have any technical problem. The entire cleaning staff was very friendly. A German employee worked at the reception. Most of the employees (most were Spaniards) spoke German, even though 60% of the guests came from Great Britain. Questions or problems were very fast solved.

Gastronomy

Around 9:30 in the morning, is 'rush hour' in the breakfast buffet. There are plenty of tables where to seat and the staff handles the stress situations very good and they are motivated to satisfy the guests wishes. Big groups (for example, a family group of 3 generations) would also be happily served. Special wishes would also be satisfied. Free tea every night. The variety of dishes is very extense, including a show-cooking (Ciabatta bread, delicious). The sauces are a bit insipid. Overall: Better as last year.

Sport & Entertainment

Internet acces in the room through the TV. Sunrooof terrace. Other appliances were not used.

Room

Big washroom, balcony, big sunroof, lounge (couch, center table). Big beds with good cushions. The location of the hotel (and so ar the rooms too) is quiet (some sites are under construction in the surroundings).
