Hotel
4.0The hotel is reasonably attractive from outside. I can not complain about any cleanliness problems, neither in the room nor in the facility. The predominant number of guests came from Great Britain. Some families, for the most part couples (mainly 50+) stayed in the hotel.
Location
4.0The hotel is directly located on the beach, and it is only a short walk to the next shopping areas and bars.
Service
4.5
The staff were very friendly, at the reception desk. Almost only english was spoken at the bars.
You could fight "hand and foot" with the german language to eventually get some help. The cleaning staff were especially friendly, requests were immediately met. The staff in the dining hall was not friendly, rather slow and bored.
Gastronomy
3.0
A comment: There is something for everyone's taste! But: because of the predominant number of english guests the breakfast corresponded accordingly, really dreary. But there were bread/toasts which we liked. The dinner was varied. The soups and desserts are not really recommendable, and there are very few fried meals (you will not see anymore after 4 days). But fish and meat were good. The table covers were not always very clean, and it often took a few minutes to receive the silverware.
The drink prices in the restaurant are overpriced in my opinion (0.2 liter cola for 2.05 euro, wine (1.60 at the supermarket) for 7 euros or more...) The drink prices at the bar were less expensive, comparable with the drink prices in our country.
Sport & Entertainment
3.5The pools were clean, the garden facility is well-kept. Although the Agumarina is a club hotel the entertainment was somewhat poor during the day (every two days the same games/sports, long lunch breaks, etc.) During the evening the entertainers cared about being entertaining, and there were groups of (music and dance, bingo, beauty contest, etc.) This was ok.
Room
4.0Our room (family room with 2 bedrooms) was large and spacious. As well as the bathroom. Otherwise the 2 fold-out cots from the couch. But not adequate for children or people with back problems. The room was cleaned every day, towels were also changed daily.
Tips and recommendations
Menorca is a island for quiet-seeking people. Later travel time is not inexpensive, otherwise we had 3 days of strong wind in September, and before that swimming was not possible. The general prices (super market, bar, etc.) are higher than in Mallorca as far as I can evaluate. Menorca is the "Ibiza for retirees)
