This was our second time in this resort. Some things have got better and some have got worse.
A lot has already been written about the resort- I'll limit myself here to the essentials.
We had booked Club Golden, were staying very near the beach. It was absolutely superb though the constant car and moped traffic in the middle of the night was extremely annoying. Even when we shut our windows, it was sometimes very, very loud at night. The most annoying thing, however, was the invasion of the Americans. They represented about 90% of the guests here. They are easy to recognise: they're extremely loud and wear ridiculous clothes at dinner time- flip-flops, faded board-shorts and tight shirts which show off their muscles. Service is wholly geared towards the Americans.

5.0For those who enjoy walking on the beach the location was superb. After approx. 30 minutes parts of the beach were deserted.....a dream.

Good and friendly service. The service in the speciality-restaurants was especially good. Room-cleaning was good.
One of the hotel's shortcomings, in our opinion, was that they couldn't speak German at reception.
Gastronomy

Very, very patchy.
Speciality-restaurants: these were really good, there are three more than two years ago. (5/6 for these)
Main restaurant: disappointing. Two years ago both the food and the atmosphere were better. Lots geared towards American tastes. The "clothes" that they wear at dinner- unbelievable... 3/6
Breakfast: great breakfast at Las Olas 2, 4/6
Sport & Entertainment
4.0The entertainment is very much geared towards the Americans. The beach is very clean and there are enough sun-loungers available
Room
4.0The rooms are clean but very poorly sound-proofed unfortunately. Use of safe shamelessly overpriced.
