Hotel review for Hotel Du Lac

For our 25th Wedding Anniversary we decided to spend a week in Lake Garda. It was our first visit to the area & our first holiday on our own since the kids were born. We were looking for a special hotel to relax in & saw the Hotel Du Lac, which looked really nice from the pictures on the website. Despite the bad weather - rain for 5 of the 7 days - our holiday was perfect & the Hotel, its Manager & staff contributed greatly to a very enjoyable, stress free holiday. When we arrived we looked out of our balcony window & could not see the lake as it was dark & misty. The following morning we opened the curtains & saw the lake literally yards away from our balcony & the mountains in the distance - a fantastic view! The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard - last year I believe, & everywhere is clean & tidy. We originally booked for B&B, but once we had eaten in the restaurant, we ate their on a number of other occasions. The food is good & plentiful without being top quality cuisine, but for a 5 course meal is an extra 10 Euros extra per head! Unbelievable value. I would definately recommend this hotel & we hope to come back next year - hopefully with some better weather!
