A somewhat old hotel with a nice location

Clean, a little bit old hotel with a large pool, as well as French, German and English speaking guests. We have stayed in house 4 - 1st floor, with sideways seaview. Drinks and food All Inclusive.
The seafruits eaters were favored.
Location
5.0Just like mentioned by the previous tourists, a short transfer time to the airport, shopping center and Puerto Plata as the next city. We have made the trips (booked in Europe) with our own car.
Service
5.0Personnel is generally friendly. small problems were taken care of in a short period of time. We didnt need any doctor.
Gastronomy
2.5We never went to eat before 20.00, however a part of the buffet was taken away (although the meal room was full). The delicious seaanimals have tasted the best for us, however my wife, particularly my daughter-in-law had very often big problems to find a meal. The lightinings were catastrophic (all windows). We were also in Santa Fe, however the same lightining and meal structure just like in the restaurants. We have not visited Italian and creperie, as we didnt want to line up at 18:45. Drinks and other wishes were immediately fullfilled.
Sport & Entertainment
2.5Definitely use the insect spray on the Minigolf field. The open show-scenes was generally only for non-smokers. Tables for the drinks were barely available. The animateurs were very hard-working. The lying chairs at the pool part, especially the umbrellas have been reserved in the night (this bad habit looks pretty disestablished). It is acceptable especially for the families with children! We have taken our lying chairs on the beach (with umbrellas). Most of the lying chairs are in need of renovation.
Room
4.0The overwhole condition of the room somewhat old. The small repairments were immediately taken care of. The electricity supply functioned with brought charger (charger of the batteries). House 4 / 1st floor with direct view on house 3 and sideways seaview.
Tips and recommendations
We have driven through the Dominican Republic 1600 km with a rental car (totally 4 persons), despite of the warning. We have chosen this one because of the price information in Holiday - Check and can only further recommend it. Buy the street cards and city maps right in the Dominican Republic. Currency exchange only by a bank (for example Wester Union Bank by Puerto Plata 1 euro = 43,2 pesos - in shopping center Playa Dorada 1 euro = 40,0 pesos). Petrol prices just like in our country. Petrol stations available in every city.
