Cleanliness is not a priority in Hotel Kontiki. The hotel in Puerto del Carmen had ideal transportation connections and excursion options. According to Lutz, the personnel were quite competent and had a quite good foreign language competence. In Lutz's opinion, the atmosphere and furnishings in the bar and restaurant areas were dreadful. The quality of the beach was good. Lutz found that the room was comfortable in size.
