Hotel review for Hotel Oasis Tossa

We used the hotel on a short half-term break. The welcome was lukewarm. Our room had been occupied by an inconsiderate heavy smoker who had ignored new Spanish law, but we were found a new room without too much fuss. We found one of the receptionsists positively rude and unprofessional. Sound insulation between rooms is terrible! Decor of hotel not four star with very small lounge area. Food mixed: good starters and excellent desserts but lack of choice of main courses and vegetables overcooked. Hotel largely used by families and most guests were British or Irish. Sauna not working-no apology, pool table in poor condition, outdoor pool too cold to use. Gym equipment in need of repair. We loved Tossa, but don't expect too much from this mediocre hotel.
