Hotel review for Hotel Playa Parc

Hotel

The location is manageable and well-kept. The pools are simple, but very clean. The rooms as well. Simply the clairaudience of the single apartments is exhausting!! Well not definitely sing in the bathroom...

Location

The distance to the wonderful beach is ok. In terms of shopping you can forget the direct environment. There is a line bus regularly to Mahon and is cheap. The hotels situated in the neighborhood were already in winter sleep. The sidewalks were lighted in the evenings.

Service

The personnel was very friendly and hard-working. There was no problem with understanding.

Gastronomy

It was kind of chaotic in the restaurant. Who did not show up punctually in time in the restaurant, he could already have pity, not to get the special delicious stuff.
Indeed it was cleaned up, but the whole thing in enervating snail pace. In spite of that, the the meals, which were available, were delicious. White wine, red wine and soft drinks were ok and were ready for the self-service. One thing was worth of mentioning: Also the small things have to be definitely in buffet, ice-cream etc. something to match??? That was partially not very relevant, but that is not job of the employees, instead it is the job of the owners.

Sport & Entertainment

We cannot say much in this respect, as we were all day long either on the beach or somewhere else.

Room

Our apartment was so far very nice. From the balcone we had an admirable view at the sea and at the neighbor bayou. The only annoying thing was the clairaudience (every toilet entrance of the neighbors was heard) and the quality of the hand towels. It is already clear to us that we can expect no Egeria-fleece hand towels, but these towels were made for cleaning. Besides they looked pretty grubby after they were changed.

Tips and recommendations

The weather was gorgeous in the mid October except for a storm and rainy day and the sea was very warm. In the evenings you could already have on a sweater. And attention!!! The midges are very aggressive. Definitely take appropriate medicines!!!
You could go along without the visit to the Sunday evening market in Mahon, as there is actually only rubbish over there. Anyway not an island type. But it is worthwile to explore the port and the old town. The bus is enough for Mahon, but the rest part of island you could better explore with the car. It is cheaper to get a rental car in the hotel at the bus stop than in Playa Parc. One day with car is totally enough in order to explore the island. In general you can say that Menorca is a gorgeous island, where you can get yourself very well relaxed. Who wants to have party, he has better go to Malle.
